This ancient village is located near Promloke waterfall in the foothills of Khao Luang mountain in Nakorn Si Thammarat. The area is a rich source of water and the locals here have adopted a mixed farming concept or “Suan Somrom”, where fruits and vegetables are grown among wild plants without chemicals. Visitors can explore a community specializing in snake venom treatment and follow a challenging hiking trail that leads to the highest peak in the South; along the way, marvel at fern species dating back to the Jurassic era in the cloud forest. Those interested in Southern art and culture can join basic Manorah dance, batik making, Manorah beading, and Khanom La (a traditional dessert that’s usually offered to monks) workshops.
