Tung Yee Peng Ecotourism Community Enterprise, Krabi

0
  • 2 Days 1 Night
  • Maximum : 30 guests
  • Minimum : 2 guests

This small village named Thung Yee Peng is found tucked away on the popular Southern Thai island of Koh Lanta. Named after the pioneering ancestor who settled in this area, the villagers here today still mostly work in the local fishing and farming industries. The centennial Muslim community on the island has jointly established an ecotourism community at Ban Thung Yee Peng. This gives visitors the chance to understand and take inspiration from the villages of Lanta, seeing how life here revolves around the ancient mangrove forests on both sides of the canals leading into the open ocean and sea caves. There is also the opportunity to tour the area by boat, with the gentle waves of the Andaman Sea lapping as you look out for wildlife both on dry land and in the water. Watch the sunrise; and sip on a herbal drink as the sun goes down. Along with the villagers, enjoy traditional Southern flavors and enjoy the cultural performances by the Thung Yee Peng people.
