This small community is hidden away in the Phunphin district of Surat Thani, along the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. The spot has an abundance of nature thanks to the vast ocean and mangroves hugging the shoreline, earning it the name the “Amazon Forest of Thailand”. Locals here work in a variety of jobs, making shrimp chili paste, weaving baskets and fishing. The area is home to diverse species of seabirds that can be seen by cruising along the coastline in the evening.
