Tambon Krachaeng in Ayutthaya province is a small village along the Noi River that takes advantage of the resource at their disposal, such as transforming water hyacinth into baskets and hats, as well as raising chickens so they can cook with free-range eggs all year long. They also grow a diverse mix of fruits including mangos, melons, lemons and there’s also an organic mushroom farm. Another delicacy you can try here is the “crispy crickets”, with these tasty bugs found in abundance here. There are also many fun community-style activities great for children at Krachaeng village.
