After you arrive, recharge your energy with some refreshing and nutritious Java plum juice here at Kemmarat in Ubon Ratchathani. During your time here, you can make merit at Wat Pho; learn about the legend of the Great Naga; get to know about the cultural practice of “Madmee” (hand-woven clothes); make your own delicate, fragrant Java plum soap; stroll along the riverside road and enjoy local dishes while in traditional clothes. You’ll be amazed by traditional performances such as Tang Wai and Paslop dances, letting yourself feel the rhythm of the music.
This tourist community consists of three sub-districts: Khemmarat, Nawaeng and Jiad. Here, local crafts are combined with long-standing traditions right where the warm, sandy shores meet the river. Soak up the late-afternoon light and amidst the 300-year-old Java plum trees, all of which helps Khemmarat live up to its name which literally means “the land of happiness”.

Evening | Enjoy “A Dinner Full of Love” amidst the distinct Mekhong riverside atmosphere. Try some local Isaan dishes while watching a traditional “Tang Wai” dance. |

Plane
The flight from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani Airport takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. From the airport, it takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the community.
Train
Take a train from Bangkok and get off at Ubon Ratchathani station (overnight) approximately 10 hour and 30 minutes. From the station, it takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the community.
