“Ban Pang Ha Community” is located in the northernmost district of Thailand, namely Mae Sai District in Chiang Rai Province. It is a small community situated on the banks of Ruak River that forms the border between Myanmar and Thailand, with a small area also connected to Laos.
The community offers various fun day and night activities, with plenty of local knowledge to be picked up from community experts in a diverse range of fields, such as mulberry paper art-making and a golden silk spa experience. Create your own painting on the surface of water, see the hand-made process for mulberry paper, and design various other products. Then, find out about candle-making and make some Lanna-styled candles yourself. . Take a ride on an “E-Tok” car to admire the regional architecture, passing by the “teak tree tunnel” at the Checkpoint for Border Trade along the way. Make sure to visit the locals, have a bite of Tai Lue pizza, try a bowl of Khao Soi Noi, or Khao Ram Fuen, the original Tai Lue dish that incorporates peanut as the main ingredient.
