Mueang Luang Nuea Tai Lue Community, Chiang Mai

0
  • 1 Day
  • Maximum : 80 guests
  • Minimum : 4 guests

Situated on a plot of rich and abundant land in Northern Thailand, this village was named by the Tai Lue after their original settlement next to the Luang river in Xishuangbanna. Here, you can experience the Tai Lue way of life through the “Aw Huean Yuean Witee” activity, which involves making charcoal compress balls to be used to create unique patterns on bags. There’s also the chance to taste “So ba kuay ted” (papaya salad with ginger), which you won’t find anywhere else, as well as paint your own “Phaya Luang” figures. Most locals here are farmers and live a simple, tranquil and slow-paced life, like most people in the north, and follow the concept of “Yoo Dee Kin Wan”. The charm of this community, unlike others, revolves around harmonious, warm, and family-like, interactions between the locals. Please note that each visit will differ depending on the season.
